Cissy Boza Sevelin has
been a lifelong resident of Hillsborough County for the last 57 years. She is a
family woman, married to Ralph Sevelin, with two beautiful daughters, a son and
stepson and an eight-year-old granddaughter. Cissy and her husband, Ralph,
reside in Thonotosassa with their two Havanese pups, Buster and Mitzi.
Cissy has worked hard her
entire personal and legal career to insure justice, fairness and an equal
playing field for all of her clients. Cissy is a firm believer in fair
administration of justice and judicial integrity.
Cissy is a sole
practitioner whose entire practice consists of providing pro bono service to
indigent clients. She volunteers for the Bay Area Legal Services’ Volunteer
Lawyers Program, working at the Domestic Violence Assistance Project clinic and
on the Case Referral Panel. She is also extensively involved with the nonprofit
organization Are You Safe, Inc., whose mission is to provide legal and social
services to victims of domestic violence, and the nonprofit organization
Crossroads for Florida Kids, Inc., as an Attorney Ad Litem representing
children in dependency proceedings, including those charged with delinquencies.

not enough, Cissy jumps in and helps out with other Community projects when
time permits her to do so.

Cissy wants to be a judge
because equality before the law isn’t just a legal principle to her; it is her
entire reason for being a lawyer, mediator and law clerk. If elected, she will
be the kind of judge who treats everyone with respect, who provides to everyone
a full and fair hearing, and who strives to reach a just result while upholding
the rule of law: the Florida State Constitution and U.S. Constitution.while
upholding the rule of law: the Florida State Constitution and U.S.
If given the opportunity,
she will be the kind of judge that our system depends upon; rigorously honest,
impartial and independent, and she will be that kind of judge because of her
legal and real-life experiences.
