Bio - Jorge Rivera
Jorge L. Rivera, PE was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, raised in Fajardo, and is a graduate of Roosevelt Roads High School in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. In 1981, Jorge moved to Melbourne, Florida where he studied and graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Following graduation in 1986, Jorge began working for local consulting engineers in Melbourne, Orlando, and Fort Myers, Florida on a variety of private and public sector building types. In 1992, Jorge received his Florida Professional Engineering License.
In 1996, Jorge began working for TLC Engineering for Architecture Florida’s largest consulting MEP firm. He gained experience working on a host of larger public sector building types including universities, community colleges, K-12 schools and state facilities, In 1999, Jorge was promoted to Project Management and became an Associate to the company, which required complete management of projects from managing clients, negotiating design fees, design and construction administration, and close out of complex projects.
He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). In 2004, Jorge became a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional.
Jorge is currently one of the principal owners of VoltAir Consulting Engineers, LLC. VoltAir Consulting Engineers, LLC is a privately owned, Florida corporation located in Tampa, Florida with an office in Houston, Texas. The principals and owners of VoltAir Consulting Engineers, Julius D. Davis, P.E., and Jorge L. Rivera, P.E., have provided quality professional engineering and related services for over 30 years combined.
