Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):
Assists in resolving employee issues by communicating policy, responding to inquiries, providing services to management, investigating issues, gathering data and preparing reports that enable management to make informed decisions that are in compliance legally and with Club policies and guidelines.
Responsible for conducting exit interviews. Individual will also be responsible for compiling information for and responding to inquiries from local, state and federal agencies and responding to basic unemployment claims.
Acts as first point of contact for receiving incoming employee relations calls. Evaluates the scope of issues. Seeks advice from Sr. Employee Relations Specialist, and Manager, Employee Relations as needed.
Administers various human resources plans and procedures for employees. Assists in developing and implementing human resources policies and procedures. Prepares related communications and correspondence.
Researches, gathers documentation, and analyzes data to assist management and corporate counsel in investigating, answering and settling legal claims.
PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP preferred
3+ years experience in Human Resources
2 + years experience in Employee Relations
Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations
Prior experience making decisions and/or recommendations for effectively resolving problems or issues. (by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, procedures, regulation or state & federal employment laws)
Demonstrated prior experience conducting workplace investigations
Ability to work independently and in a team environment while maintaining good working relationships
Ability to develop and present to various audiences
Knowledge of ACG personnel policies and procedures
Ability to handle multiple detailed projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Works in a temperature controlled office environment
Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):
Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resource management or equivalent
Developing, interpreting, and administering personnel policies and procedures
Employee counseling, coaching, or evaluating
Knowledge and Skills:
Standard concepts, practices and procedures within the employee relations field including ADA, FLSA, EEO, FMLA
Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully work within a team environment and maintain good working relationships are required
